What You Missed: Small Budgets Big Results #SMCHI

Ever wonder what’s been going on at the SMCHI events you’ve missed?

Well, WOWEEEE! Our last event was some of the best of what a SMCHI event is: smart dialogue and great people. We had lots of new faces and old friends turned out for Small Budgets, Big Results.

The format for this event was slightly different than others we’ve done (we DO like to take a risk now and then), and the overwhelmingly positive feedback makes us think we’ll do it again. Instead of the usual “panel” format, we had a SMCHI Pro host each table and lead discussions about key strategies and tactics for Small Budgets, Big Results. Everyone rotated to each table so each person got a chance to sit at each host’s table. The format enabled a more intimate discussion for both hosts and attendees.Lot’s of ground was covered, because each table asked lot’s of great questions.

Extending the personal to the digital is common practice during SMCHI events. In fact, we consider it a GOOD think when people are “head’s down” tweeting and connecting. As usual, the #SMCHI hashtag was on fire as well as in person and online attendees connected for additional discussion and to further the connections.

Special Thanks to our hosts, who shared their insights and time with the SMCHI community:

Our next event (and final public educational for 2013) is November 6th. Watch the usual suspects, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and this blog for more information as we release details.

We captured the Twitter stream on Storify and the actual event on Livestream so you can catch up or just watch again.
